Jane Crosbie is a modern impressionist who has exhibited internationally. Her paintings are collected all over the world. Her bold multilayered originals painted in oils acrylics or mixed media are alive with movement and texture created by palette knives. Jane’s portraits, landscapes, seascapes, animal paintings, and equine art can be viewed in her Pukekohe gallery where she also teaches art workshops.

Graduating from MIT Auckland with a Bachelor of Visual Arts, Jane Thorne has exhibited both locally and internationally. Insects are the dominant feature in her paintings, and she is influenced by earlier years studying museology and more recently, a fascination with old wallpapers and history. The insects are typically arranged to suggest deeper meanings and details to draw the viewer in.
Pollok arts and crafts cooperative ‘Pollok Arts and Crafts Co-operative’, was launched on Labour Weekend, 2007. The current members of the Coop are Kerry Collins (textiles), Phil Jordan (mixed media), Lois Templeton (ceramics and textiles), Irmi Hastings (textiles), Lynda Jane Dodd (painting). The Coop takes pride in supporting approx 40 local artists, whom exhibit an intriguing variety of works.
