Phil Jordan’s love of Maori design saw him make early forays into the art world, first dabbling in screen printing, and then drawing cartoons for various publications. More recently he has moved into more three dimensional interpretations of these design ideas, combining a love of native woods, metals, carving, and the newly discovered potential of the airbrush, to produce bas relief works telling similar stories.
